@SuGaRuSh14Carrying on from my previous replies... I'm no fan of the 1%, super-rich. Why would I be, I'm not one? However, you want to tax the productive, salaried classes more than I deem reasonable. I believe in the social welfare state - however, the welfare has, in the West, gone too far.In the '30s, my English grandma refused woolens from the Welfare Woman, saying it'd be the death of her (and society), she had a point. The cold might have got her though...

@SuGaRuSh14The Swedes are inherently hard working and abhor handouts as a principle. They aren't the norm as they have a large country, low population and are industrious.Holland's social experiment in liberalism has turned into a nightmare with MPs being assassinated in the streets (Pim Fortuyn) for trying to bring common-sense back into parliamentary debate.Western multiculturalism is actually divisive; telling people to be different (too much) not a social whole.

@SuGaRuSh14 The super-rich don't pay tax. Look at everyone's hero, Warren Buffett. He said recently that we should all pay more tax! Except his hedge fund has been battling for years with the inland revenue. The salaried classes pay. The West is squeezing them more and more. I can see the indirect taxation (such as fines) by baby steps going up and up.People believe they deserve handouts - no they don't, it erodes self-esteem. The welfare system is a safety net not a given.

@climatereview So don't give me all that Milton Friedman bs. Or if you wish to pursue your ignorant arguments, explain to me why no matter how hard some people work there are continual income discrepancies; and why countries that adopt GENUINE socialism (high taxation and stable welfare - don't use the ex-soviet regimes, they were only socialist in name) not only have the least social and economic problems, but have the least citizens on welfare.

@climatereview I don't mind the conservatives if they say: yeah, we're greedy, we wanna hog the resources. We're flawed. That's honest. But trying to make the monopolization of resources into some twisted ethical principle that allegedly benefits society is just gross... vile. What you call a "present", most call basic living. Societies which have the least income inequality and are the most socialist (Sweden, Netherlands etc) are also the happiest; have the most stable economies etc.
SuGaRuSh14 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@climatereview Big problem thereSome people have no money. Others have millions. So the second option (which is essentially liberalism - the rich bail out the poor) is best, because even though there is no quality, without that, as the rich maintain all the resources, there is nothing and the poor get no "present".Conservatives make out there is a slice of the pie for everyone, if only the poor worked harder. This blatantly isn't true. Resources are finite, most can't buy for themselves.

Ohhh.. he totally blew it here by telling the truth: As long as we can do what we want and the administration stays out of it, we'll be fine. EXCEPT that you're taking the most powerful decisions that effect the most lives, which is what our ELECTED POLITICIANS should be doing, not you. He has just basically admitted that it's not a democracy; it's good ol feudalism.

You know, Greenspan is only part of a giant government group called The Collective, and he's doing things like crashing the economy on purpose as part of a bigger plan? Here:slingshotwarrior.tumblr.com

"Jewish history has been tragic to the Jews and no less tragic to neighboring nations. Our major vice is parasitism. We are a people of vultures, living on the labor and the good nature of the rest of the world." - Samuel Roth, Jews Must Live......Thumbs it up if you know the enemy isn't the NWO, Fascism, or any other mysterious entity.
