"Free to bomb and kill anywhere in the world"? Alternative, I think you're getting your news by photo negative. If anyone today feels free--compelled, actually--to bomb and kill anywhere in the world, a sufficiency of Muslim men do. I was afraid that the world would forget that the U.S. et al. were fighting a defensive war in Afghanistan--Iraq is an embarrassment--and you apparently WANT it to forget. But everyone else is a "fucking idiot." And "instinct of freedom"? Islam fights that instinct.

One of the finest things to be said about civilized humanity is that we take our highest joys IN EACH OTHER. The sheer fun we have in experiencing our lovers with our five senses tops everything else on Earth. We are not ashamed of humanity. Some, though, ARE ashamed of human flesh, so condemn the sharing of it in this life (hence the killing of those who find such pleasure so the killers, too, can gain the same fun in paradise). Would that Muslim men were as ashamed of bombing as of flesh!

I met an Iranian professional who managed to get a visa to Canada. His next objective was to get out his wife and 2 daughters. Reason for immigration: he didn't want his daughters to grow up under the current Iranian regime (yes, he's muslim). He knows he won't be able to afford the same lifestyle but he feels it is worth his while to come and live in the freedom of the West.

Problems in muslim countries are structural. The religion of islam is a powerful force for disruption of the normal workings of a nation. There are a lot of ignorant, illiterate people in muslim nations and a democracy might well be a disaster. Even muslims as minorities are disruptive but just imagine when you have a country full of them. Islam is now synonymous with chaos. It paralyses a country that is not a dictatorship. Many muslims dream that they will sleepwalk into a democracy.
