Our govt doesn't actually "believe" in or practice a true democractic process. Do you remember the results in 2000, Bush didn't win the popular vote and still won, how is that democracy? Our electoral system needs to be done away with. I am sorry that "wasted" offended you, I didn't mean it so strongly, I do hope that one day our third party candidates can pull in competitive numbers at the polls. But until then the Dems and Reps will be the only ones to hold office. Sad but true.

This mornings headlines: Big three automakers in line for bailout. Is there no end in sight? Congress is chock full of people who know how to get elected but have no idea how to legislate responsibly. Banks and corporations run this country and are doing so with impunity. If we had more statesmen like Ron Paul we would not be in this mess.
