Just one word US citizens. Next time you vote. Pay attentio to the policies and not the popularity of your presidents. The world thought Bush was actually partially retarded and so the majority of US citizens by association. This is not my opinion but there is a large number of citizens that must wake up, take responsibility for their vote by educating themselves.My 2 cents.

Agreed...in fact my budget, as a computer animation teacher, was reduced from $1200.00 to $500.00 in one year alone (what kind of technology or software can you buy with $500.00?). My department was functioning on the same budget it had in the 1980's, yet the student body count had quadrupled! California alone ranks 47th in money spent per student! We spend more money to house and feed inmates than we do on education and yet the blame is always placed on teachers first!?! Is it a wonder I quit!

MStoneManiac, you have a point. Unfortunatly if you look at our countries spending trend on education, you will notice that through out the years it has cut back funding. So the U.S. is being made dumber, plain and simple. Even our community college's are suffering at this very moment. Those places where a person can go, and actually attain some education. So indeed, it is now becoming a personal responsibility to seek education, and by all means that is if the individual wants it.
