Protest? Participate in a rally? Walk all the way across the country? We are. This summer, a group of activists will be walking across America to achieve more freedom and liberty. Our pioneer forefathers trekked across the continent from the east to the west to find a better life for themselves. This time, we're doing it in reverse.I am walking coast-to-coast across the country, from Oregon to New Hampshire. I am joined by my immediate family as well. We're on a quest to gain more freedom for ourselves and for our country by spreading the message of freedom and liberty along the way.Why are we doing this?We see the gradual chipping away at freedoms in America, and want to do our part to stop it. My wife and I are moving to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project. New Hampshire is already the freest state in the country, which is why we are moving there. But we also want to help bring more freedom to as many other people as possible. Therefore we are walking across America to get to New Hampshire. We are walking all the way there to bring as much media attention and publicity as possible to two liberty-oriented causes: the Free State Project, which is working to make New Hampshire even more free, and Ron Paul's message of freedom for everyone. My sollution to this transition is the OFF button. The government is overstepping their responsibility. It is filling the shoes of the beast more and more in the absence of opposition, a politics has never allowed that.

hang on to your rabbit ears, analog TVs & radios . . .

The switch to digital is so that the intelligence community can spy on us with more accuracy.Under the guise of making us "safer".The last 8 years haven't just taken us backwards. They have taken us into a new direction. A very disturbing one.America is no longer "free". Perhaps it's time to move.To a new country."Freedom is the sharing of Power"Plato.

This may seem extreme, but it could be done.

Broadcasting on old fashioned bandwidth frequencies over the air with radio antenna is very difficult to track. Esspecially if those radio bandwidths (a measure of the width of a range of frequencies, measured in hertz) are done through remote access.Sat an antenna atached to the top of a tree with a weather proofed cable leading down into a weather proofed box hidden under the ground. Place several in each state across the country out in the forrests, then use morse code to send info.

If the government makes the same transition for radio transmissions to go digital, then we know the real reason for the changes. Nobody will be able to broadcast and reach people with information except the big media companies. Digital boxes block everything except the digital code.

Nice civil disobedience :D.

I was wondering the same thing, I heard they want the frequencies for Homeland Security, FEMA, Local Agencies, etc...

If the govt can't control the airwaves then they can't tap in to see what you are watching and throw you in court for watching the wrong thing according to them. Also, they can't ensure that they are the source of all your info further keeping you fooled and subdued. One of the best things I encourage folks to do, to figure out what is truly going on in our time, is to read George Orwell's book entitled "1984".You can buy it at amazondotwalkforlibertydotcom.

You can rest assured that the UHF and VHF analog frequencies will be used for government communications and they will not be released for public or private use.I wonder if you will be able to pick up these communications using modified analog tv tuners. Hmmmmm.
