I was never political, but I grew up, and was public schooled (Brainwashed) here in Liberal Madison Wi.A former Wi Governer once described Madison as "68 square miles, surrounded by reality".....and currently within these 68 square miles, Obama still walks on water! And that right there is how I began to open my eyes! Long way to go, but my blinders are off!

from the right, I was on the right to begin with because of my super christian conservative family but became disillusioned with the authoritarian social ideals. The changing period that got me thinking was AP economics in high school, when I got to college I started watching Milton Friedman videos and reading Sowell books

I was a liberal, from a quite liberal family, but I began to wonder many things about the fiscal policy of democrats. I wondered, "why can't I just be a fiscal conservative and a social liberal? Then I discovered this.

Was Neo-Conservative, then hated war to be a liberal, and THEN did not like tax dollars which subsidized others without my consent.

I came from the left. My family were liberal democrats. I didn't quite understand economic issues until I left high school and read some Rothbard. My non-interventionism comes from being bullied and picked on in school. I never initiated force and always kept to myself. I guess that lead to everything else, not wanting govt telling me what to do, what to eat and drink and smoke, how much money I can make, who I can associate with, and the like. Live and let live! My life, my choice!

I was about 16 when Bush invaded Iraq and I was angry with him. My views were quite libertarian in my teenage but my first vote was to increase funding for adult education. I didn't become a real libertarian until I heard the logic of Ron Paul in Aug 08. Because of him I became a Republican and a libertarian. My views grow more libertarian all the time.
