From Mike Malloy's radio show on the NovaM network 8/29/07. A Libertarian caller discusses his dislike of Universal Health Care. Mike asks him who should be denied health care, and then rants about his dislike of Libertarians and hilariously makes fun of their self-centered ideology.

The United States spends far more per capita on health care than any comparable country. In fact, the gap is so enormous that a recent University of California, San Francisco, study estimates that the United States would save over $161 billion every year in paperwork alone if it switched to a singlepayer system like Canada's

It's a FACT the universal health care delivery is cheaper and more efficient. Today, over half the family bankruptcies filed every year in the United States are directly related to medical expenses, and a recent study shows that 75 percent of those are filed by people with health insurance.

The problem is not the inaccessibility to sickcare, it is in its costs! And this is the fault of the free-market? Not likely, given how deeplyhe govt. is invested in the present sickcare system. The free-market is about making money, however, this would not be inconsistent.

And a Libertarianism is about the individual, not the state, deciding what is best for each one of us. This is hardly being what Malloy characterizes as being a cry baby. What is more consistent with a state of infantile dependence, bullying your neighbor to pay for your medical bills, or for the market and individual consumer to determine supply and demand? I am sick of scare tactics and bullying by the left wingers, telling me what is best is to accept the inevitable. Covetous socialists.

And Mike Malloy doesn't want it his way? Is there really such a think as altruistic, compassionate socialism? What might posess one to want to bring home more money, rather than having this and that deducted by the state, all for the collective good? But we all know that the state is beneficient, and bureaucrats are never greedy. Only Libertarians want less govt., economic self-determination, and the return of a robust, market driven economy. Obama has his captive audience.

There is one kind of Libertarian? Socialized medicine in America will not work; our polity is not homogeneous as it has traditionally been social welfare states. First off, there is the state cajoling. Healthcare or, more accurately, sickcare, as socialized, i.e., forcing me to pay into bureaucratic medicine, means "adequate" healthcare for more people? Obamacare delivers what a bureaucracy chooses to deliver; not any improvement over a truly market driven system, a rubric which obama deplores.
