It's a zero sum game when those with power keep a majority oppressed.

Chappell's pressure was to degrade himself as a black man, and he refused.Ali refused to fight a war against poor people in a tiny country on the other side of the world ("No Vietnamese ever called me NIgger!"), just as Dr. King criticized the war and was killed. My earlier point is still valid: white males hold a disproportionate portion of positions of power because of a white male dominated society that favors white males (and anyone else) who "play the game" of the white male club.

Well, then, you have to ask yourself, Did the mortgage co. have the responsibility to act responsibly, or did the borrower make the mistake of overextending himself? I tend toward the responsibility of the lender, and if that meant lower interest rates for borrowers and smaller profits, but less foreclosures, then the smart banker would chose the latter. But, as I said, mortgage companies found a way to make foreclosures profitable, so they didn't care if the borrower defaulted.

(4)As far as the idea that wealth is created from slavery & imperalist style economies. I will just say economics are not a zero sum game.

(3)(I forgot to note that I think Ali was punished for draft dodging which drafts are also against liberty) But as far as Dave Chapelle I dont think his producers really cared what he did they were more interested in the profits. From what I understand they signed him for more seasons but he left on his on during the 3rd season due to the "pressure" of the show and his producers to be more edgier.

(2) When you add Fannie Mae buying up loans like kid and a candy store... you encourage banks to lend then sale before the mortage went default. All this leads to massive credit expansion that grows a bubble that collapsed and has the government finger prints all over it. As far as boxing licenses and Ali, do we really need the state to approve boxers? No this has nothing to do with liberty... this is just another string for the pupet masters to pull at. As far as Dave Chapelle I don't think any

Well I wouldn't say that mortage companies took it as a license to charge monstrous rates. They were forced to take upon risker mortages. When those mortages went default they had to raise the rates on other mortages to compensate for that loss. The raising of rates was a symptom not the sickness. If mortage companies were looking out for their best interest they would try to keep defaults from compiling. Also the fed reserve lowered rates and were encouraged to lend.

(4) What about the financial market crisis? While I don't profess to completely understand it, I can still see that Wall St. got greedy, creating investment "products" that were extremely risky for the investor, but made huge profits for the investment companies. Where do we/governments draw the line? Moreover, what about poor people around the world. Must our great wealth always come on the backs of slave labor abroad? Doesn't our Declaration of Independence apply to them, too?

(3) Ali lost his boxing license, stripped of his title, then went bankrupt. The point is that if Jordan, Oprah and Woods spoke out on issues of race, they'd be broke to. Dave Chappell is a more recent example of a black man speaking out. Their free speech is curtailed by free market capitalism and white male power--because wealthy white males write their checks. So, your blacks in the NBA argument is not based on all the facts.
