Congressman Ron Paul has introduced HR 1207 - The Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009.This bill would allow the Government Accountability Office to audit the Federal Reserve, an action which is currently crippled under the law. @BourneAccident Maybe *I* haven't been clear. The Fed is the most evil bombastic institution ever. Unfortunately, my country only gets Australian Idol.

@SuperWasteBasket - Sorry... but I am not wrong. The Fed is a private company. Sure, the "president" appoints board members. Ha ha. Well, guess what? There will be no audit. There will be no disclosure. There will be no list of shareholders available to anyone.... and any government who would force disclosure of a private company, would be acting just like Nazis. As long as we borrow our money, we are in violation of our Constitution and remain enslaved.
